Overview
Designed, developed, and deployed the end-to-end digital ecosystem for Wallstreet Africa, a sophisticated platform delivering in-depth business and financial news. I architected this project from the ground up to replace legacy constraints with a high-performance, editorial-grade destination that prioritizes content hierarchy and near-instant load times for a global audience of investors and professionals.
Technical Execution
Full-Stack Engineering: Developed a high-speed frontend using Next.js and React.js with TypeScript, ensuring a type-safe architecture capable of handling high-traffic demands and complex news feeds.
Content & Data Architecture: Implemented Directus as a headless CMS backed by PostgreSQL to manage multi-category content and global news archives, utilizing GraphQL and REST APIs for seamless data delivery.
UI/UX Design: Crafted an “editorial-grade” interface in Figma, focusing on typography, financial data clarity, and a distraction-free reading experience optimized for mobile-first performance.
DevOps & Infrastructure: Orchestrated a scalable deployment using Docker and Cloudflare, optimizing content delivery and ensuring high availability across diverse geographic regions in Sub-Saharan Africa and beyond.
Result
Delivered an authoritative, scalable news platform that serves as a vital resource for thousands of readers. By owning the entire lifecycle from initial Figma wireframes to final server configuration -I created a robust foundation that merges a premium aesthetic with the technical agility required to support real-time financial reporting and long-term growth.
